Ferdinand's Room, 2024

A 3D modeled room inspired by a plush frog I had sewn for myself. A serene, warm glow from the lamp envelopes the room and establishes an inviting atmosphere as Ferdinand the Frog is perched upon a stool.

Created and rendered in Blender 4.2

The Visitor, 2024

A gigantic and monstrous earwig looms and dominates over the space of a small bedroom. In the fall of 2020, I was plagued by an infestation of the insects in my house for 3 months. I felt suffocated and unable to escape the bugs as they invaded every moment of my day. This digital painting offers the viewer a glimpse into my own harrowing experience.

Little Guys, 2023

An edited photograph of mine where tiny plant spirits run amok. Mini terrariums are a passion of mine, and in my childhood, I often imagined small worlds of fantastical creatures coexisting with the bugs I could find.

Trilogy of Self, 2024

A cast aluminum medallion displaying a radial patterning that is broken up by 2 California Poppy flowers sculpted in relief. This medallion contains symbols pertaining to my heritage as a first-generation American who was raised within the culture of my parents at home, but also as a Californian in my daily life at school. These identities harmonize together in an homage to all which came before me, what I have accomplished so far, and the decisions I will make in the future.

"Rubber Ducky" Isopod Racer, 2024

A kinetic sculpture based off the "Rubber Ducky" isopod, from the Cubaris genus. As an exploration of movement, the sculpture has an attached "leash" to pull from which causes the body and legs to wiggle due to being suspended from springs and loops. This mimics the cute aesthetic of the sculpture's real-life counterpart and its wiggling behavior.

"s-TECH-osaurus, 2024

A welded sculpture made of found objects, primarily made using car and bike parts. A rewired digital clock serves as the face with an interactive element where pushing down on a switch on the head causes the display to flicker and change.
